KARACHI: Arbab orders solution of Azam Basti’s civic problems
KARACHI, June 21: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said that the Pakistan Muslim League does not believe in false promises, rather it is practically serving the masses. Addressing a big public meeting in Azam Basti, the chief minister said the PML would be further strengthened as an organized and active party across the country, and particularly in Sindh.
The public meeting was organized by Sindh Minister for Mines and Mineral Resources Irfanullah Marwat. He said the PML would be organized in Sindh at grass-roots level and problems of the people would be solved on a priority basis. The PML’s candidates would emerge successful with a wide margin in the local bodies elections. On the request by Irfanullah Khan Marwat, the chief minister directed the district coordination officer of Karachi to approve all water supply schemes of the area to solve these civic problems on an urgent basis.
He announced upgradation of the hospital situated in Azam Basti. He also announced Rs10 million for the improvement of the dilapidated roads of the area on top-priority. He said if more funds are required for road sector schemes in the locality provincial government would take steps in this regard.
The chief minister, accepting the long standing demand for the expansion of the existing graveyard, he declared the reservation of the defunct KMC’s land for burial purpose.
Earlier, Mr Marwat thanked the chief minister for his visit to Azam Basti. He said the chief minister, also president of the PML, Sindh, had made untiring efforts to organize the party in the province. This was the result of Dr Arbab’s endeavours that the PML was now before the people as an active and organized party in the province.
PML General Secretary Sardar Nadir Akmal Leghari, Naib Nazim Tariq Hasan and others also spoke. Irfanullah Marwat also presented Ajrak and other gifts to the chief minister and other notables.— APP
