NWFP stun Islamabad
PESHAWAR, June 18: NWFP defeated Islamabad in the opening match of the PSB under-17 Inter-provincial basketball championship at Abbottabad Sports Complex on Saturday.
Peshawar front strikers comprising Sikander Khan, Khushdil, Hamad and centre midfielder Waseem exhibited excellent footwork.
Sikander (15), Khushdil (12) and Hamad scored nine points for the NWFP. Islamabad’s Suleman (10) and Khalid (13) led the scoring.
Five teams are competing in the championship.—APP
