Bukhsh strikes twice for SGP

KARACHI, June 18: Arif Shahzad and Ibraheem struck twice to help Korangi Rangers overcome Naka Mohammadan 4-2 in the National Challenge Cup soccer at CDGK Stadium on Saturday.

Naka Mohammadan took a fine start with a Mohammad Ayub goal in the eight-minute before Arif cancelled out the effort in the 30th minute.

Ibraheem was on target three minutes later and got his second a minute later. Naka Mohammadan were resilient and reduced the margin 3-2 again through Ayub four minutes before halftime hooter. An 86th-minute strike by Arif sealed the fate of the match.

In another match, Sindh Government Press (SGP) humbled Habib Bank (HBL) 2-0, thanks to two Mohammad Bukhsh strikes.

After remaining goalless, Bukhsh broke the deadlock in the 70th minute and then got his double four minutes from time.

Sunday’s fixtures:

SSGC v Mauripur Baloch; Navy v PWD.
