HYDERABAD, June 18: District Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal president Maulana Abdul Waheed Qureshi has condemned the privatization of the PTCL. Speaking at a protest meeting held at the Jamaat-i-Islami office here on Friday, he claimed that this sensitive national enterprise was being sold out to a Jewish-backed industrialist.

He expressed solidarity of the MMA with PTCL employees and said MMA parties would strongly oppose privatization of national enterprises.

Mr Qureshi maintained that when the MMA would come into power it would nationalize all privatized enterprises, including the Zeal Pak Cement Factory.

Hyderabad JI Amir Shaikh Shaukat Ali said his party had always supported the working class and it would continue to do so.

Sindh National Labour Federation president Rana Mehmood Ali Khan said the army could neither manage affairs of the country nor the industry.

He claimed that there was no account of funds received through privatization of national assets.
