Two held, weapons seized
LAKKI MARWAT, June 18: The Serai Naurang police claimed to have busted a gang of outlaws and arrested the ring leader with another accomplice after exchange of fire here on Saturday. DSP Serai Naurang circle Fareed Hussain Bangash had information about the presence of some outlaws belonging to the Giara Hazari group in the Hati Khan Kallay locality.
A police party, led by SHO Serai Naurang Shabir police station, raided the hideout, but the outlaws opened indiscriminate fire on the police. The fire was returned by the policemen.
During the exchange of fire, the police arrested an accused, Kifayatullah Khan, resident of Top Takhtikhel, who is stated to be the ringleader of the gang, and one Barkat Shah. The police also recovered weapons from their possession. According to police sources, the two accused were wanted to the Lakki Marwat and Bannu police in a number of cases of heinous nature.
