KARACHI, June 18: Five ships carrying containers, chemicals and crude oil are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where nine ships to unload urea and containers and load naphtha were berthed. They are: Harmony, PONL Vera Cruz, Jade Trader, Maersk Alaska, Wan Hai-266 and Sagamore to unload and load containers, Ming Ze Hu to load naphtha, Koriana, to offload high-speed diesel, and Myroessa to offload urea.
Sailing was also fairly brisk as 10 vessels — Kota Tampan, Global Progress, Thor Captain, Wester Muehlen, Harmony, PONL Vera Cruz, Maersk Alaska, Stolt Markland, Vadulu Valley and Acadia Highway -– sailed out, while Wan Hai-266, Jade Trader, Sagamore and Ming Ze Hu are due to sail out on Sunday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 77,123 tons comprising 22,753 tons of export cargo and 54,370 tons of import cargo was handled.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Lalazar, with 66,000 tons of crude oil, Chemstar Brave, with 2,000 chemicals, PONL Maha, Laumo and Bunga Kenari, with containers.
