LAHORE, June 17: Jordan, India and Pakistan will compete in the 3rd Youth bridge championship of Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East Zone at the Lahore Gymkhana Club from Saturday to Monday.
The winning team will qualify for representing the zone in the 10th World Youth bridge championship being held in Sydney, Australia, in August this year.
Ihsan Qadir, zonal director has been nominated the chief organizer and the chief tournament director.
Pakistan is being represented by a team comprising talented young students from Aitchison College Lahore. They will be competing against the more experienced Jordanian and Indian teams.
The winners of the championship will be awarded Mazhar Jafri Trophy for BFAME Youth Bridge Championship. Visiting youth teams from India and Jordan will be hosted by Punjab Bridge Association with complementary boarding and lodging.
