KARACHI, June 17: Six ships, carrying containers, chemical and to load cement, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six vessels — Argonaut, APL Orchid and Wester Muelen to unload and load containers, Multan, Iran Matin to offload general cargo, and Arcadia Highway to offload 1,200 cars -– were berthed.

Seven ships, Hyundai Advance, Y.M. Energy, Argonaut, Maersk Arizona, APL Orchid, Alhmidis S.B and Ron, departed, while Kota Tampan, Stolt Markland, Badulu Valley, Orient Progress, Thor Capitan, and Wester Muehlen are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 64,982 tons, comprising 26,601 tons of export cargo and 38,381 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Nur Yanbu, with chemicals; Swat, with crude oil; Global Prosperity and Thaikos, with containers.
