Soomro wants shrine work completed on time

DADU, June 16: Acting President Mohammedmian Soomro has expressed dissatisfaction over the ongoing construction work at the shrine of Qalandar Lal Shahbaz in Sehwan. He directed officials concerned to complete the work on schedule and provide basic facilities to devotees. He was talking to officers at a briefing about the construction work of the shrine on Thursday.

Dadu DCO Aijaz Ahmad Mangi, Jamshoro DCO Qabool Ahmad Shaikh, Auqaf chief administrator Khawar Noor and Jamshoro operations DPO Sikandar Magsi attended the briefing.

Mr Soomro directed officers and contractors to utilize funds properly. He appointed the Dadu DCO as the project director.

The Dadu DCO briefed the senate chairman about the project, to be completed in four phases.

He said work on phase-II was going on and so far Rs6 million had been spent.

Earlier, Mr Soomro laid a floral wreath, offered Fateha at the shrine and inspected the construction work.
