KARACHI, June 16: The Chief of Sunni Tehrik, Maulana Abbas Qadri, expressed grief over the deaths of three of his party activists and said that activists of the ST were being targeted since the Muttahida Qaumi Movement had come into power.
In a statement on Thursday night, he said a number of activists had been killed for raising their voice for the two-nation theory, Islam and Pakistan. They just demanded their rights for which they were punished to death, he said.
He asked the MQM chief, Altaf Hussain, as to what was the fault of the Ahl-i-Sunnat people and why were they being killed.
He claimed that Sunni people were also members of the MQM, which came into power after obtaining votes of the Sunni people.
Instead of issuing press statements and paying lip-service, the MQM should be practical in redressing grievances of the Sunni sect and play its role in making the city lively.
