KARACHI, June 16: Eleven vessels including those whose arrivals were delayed are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Hyundai Advance, Kota Wajar, Y.M. Energy, Maersk Arizona, Kota Tampan and Global Progress to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of three.
The ships, which departed included APL Jeddah, Kota Wajar and Minsa, while Hyundai Advance, Rea, Y.M. Energy, Arganaut, APL Orchid, Maersk Arizona, Global Progress, Badulu Valley, Kota Tampan and Thor Capitan are due to sail out on Friday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as the total tonnage rose to 0.121m tons comprising 33,854 tons of export cargo and 86,563 tons of import.
The following ships are due on Friday: Maersk Alaska, P.V. Cruz, Wan Hai-266, with containers, Heuene Seiner, with coal, Bolan, with general cargo, N. Paradise, with 32,982 tons of DAP fertilizer, S. Naree, with 20,829 urea and C. Ayham, to load 4,000 tons of cement.
