HYDERABAD, June 15: Member (power) Wapda, Choudhry Anwar Khalid, on Wednesday presided over a meeting of senior officials of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company to discuss issues relating to recovery of bills, line losses, new power connections and the outcome of a ‘concessional package’ announced by the company for consumers.
Hesco chief executive Syed Adeebul Hassan Rizvi said that it was for the first time that the company had succeeded in reducing line losses by 2 per cent over the last four years. He said that under the ‘concessional package’, 12000 new power connections had been provided and added that this policy will continue up to June 30.—Bureau
