Young Haqqani in semifinals

KARACHI, June 14: Young Haqqani made it to the semifinal of All-Karachi Nazir Hussain memorial football tournament defeating Shahzad Mohammadan 5-4 on penalty kicks at Hussani football ground, New Karachi on Monday.

Forward Fazal Baloch of Shahzad Mohammadan took the possession of the ball to net a beautiful goal after dodging all the defenders in the first half of regulation time.

In the second half, forward Ali Nawaz of Young Haqqani replied with a goal off a cross from left-out Jehangir in the 57th minute to make it 1-1.

The match remained locked until regulation period and the decision had to be made on penalty kicks.

Young Haqqani netted all the five goals while Shahzad Mohammadan succeeded in scoring four.

Young Haqqani’s Ali Nawaz was declared Man-of-the-Match.—APP
