KARACHI: KU seeks 200 acres for housing scheme


KARACHI, June 14: The University of Karachi has submitted an application to the Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad for allotment of 200 acres for the expansion of residential facilities of its employees. This was stated by KU Vice-Chancellor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui in his presidential address on the inaugural ceremony of the community centre for Karachi University Employees Housing Society here on Tuesday.

Dr Pirzada said that the Sindh governor had responded positively and assured of his full cooperation in this regard.

He said that steps would be taken to ensure the provision of house building loans to the employees by the House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC), as well as, the university management.—PPI
