Sports activities

KARACHI, June 13: The YMCA is once again becoming a hub of sports activities, which have remained suspended for three years following the building’s takeover by Sindh Social Welfare Department. Sports activities came to a sudden halt after its takeover depriving a large number of sportsmen of the facility.

General secretary YMCA, Zafar J Shakti, who had earlier been sent home and later made coordinator, has assumed the charge. Efforts are also being made to improve the playing field in YMCA, which, founded in 1905, is commemorating its centenary year.
