Sindh govt allocates Rs80m for sports

KARACHI, June 13: A major breakthrough was achieved in the history of Sindh sports the other day when its annual grant for the fiscal year 2005-2006 was increased manifold. A sum of Rs.80 million was allocated in the budget for the promotion of sports in the province. An amount of Rs. 15 million was set aside for sports in the last fiscal year.

“This is a major achievement in a short span of time and will go a long way in the promotion of sports in Sindh,” minister for sports, Qamar Mansoor told Dawn on Monday.
