LRC drop filly’s weight

LAHORE, June 12: The Lahore Race Club (LRC) stewards dropped four pounds in handicap of a filly, Eid, on an appeal by her owner, Malik Hamid Ali Noon on Sunday. The filly Eid was assigned 9-4 weight in the handicap, which Malik Hamid Ali Noon, who is a senior steward of LRC objected to for wrongly handicapping and assigning too much weight after winning a race fortnight back. He lodged an appeal against it.

The stewards took up the appeal before the race and dropped the filly by four pounds assigning it 9-0 weight.

Eid was beaten by Achilles 2 1/4 lengths in the fifth race of the Sunday card.
