Nawabshah budget delayed
NAWABSHAH, June 11: Budget of the district government could not be presented here on Saturday as one line budget from the Sindh government was not received on time. The budget session of the district council was presided over by its convener, Khalid Hussain Channa.
The convenor informed the session that budget presentation was postponed till Tuesday as one line budget from the Sindh government was not received on time and books were not completed.
The District Nazim, Faryal Talpur, addressing the session said that during her tenure, she completed almost all development schemes throughout the district without any discrimination.
She further said that educational reforms and supply of clean drinking water to the citizens was her top priority and she would continue the same in future.
A member, Qamar Dhamrah, complained that members, despite being elected, were not getting monthly honorarium.
The Convenor, Khalid Hussain Channa, said that not a single member of any of the district councils throughout Sindh was getting any honorarium in the absence of any notification.
