ISLAMABAD, June 10: Islamabad continued their big scoring in the PCB National under-19 Championship with Hammad Kiyani’s unbeaten century powering them to a healthy total against Attock at the Diamond Ground.
Hammad’s innings of 100 comprised 13 fine fours as Islamabad finished the first day of the match on 316-7 in 86 fours. Naeem Anjum also batted well to score 87.
Islamabad have to play another four overs on Saturday to complete their quota of 90. The wickets went to Waris Khan who claimed three for 83 and Muhammad Javed who had two.
At the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi hit up 163 for two in 32 overs in a match reduced to 60 overs-a-side because of wet conditions.
Zahid Mansoor topscored with an unbeaten 77 in an innings in which he struck 11 boundaries. With him at the crease was Muhammad Ibrahim on 37 not out.
