Liverpool allowed to defend title


LONDON, June 10: Liverpool will be able to defend their Champions League trophy next season after European football’s governing body UEFA changed their rules.

But they will have to play in six qualifying games to reach the group stage and will have no country protection which means they could be drawn against one of the four other English clubs — Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United or Everton.—Agencies
