KARACHI, June 10: Seven ships carrying containers, coal and soyabean meal are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Golden Express, Y.M. Faha, to unload and load containers, Taraman Bibi to offload general cargo, Lady Yasmine to load molasses and Sargodha to offload phosphate were berthed.
Sailing was active as eight ships, Orient Prosperity, Golden Express, Y.M. Sun, Hyundai Highway, Kota Wangsa, Nur Yanbu and Botany Trust departed, while Thor Sea, Corin Thaikos, Sinar Bontang, Lady Yasmine, Sargodha and Wan Hai-262 are due to sail out on Saturday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 94,414 tons comprising 25,314 tons of export cargo and 69,100 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Warbah, with high-speed diesel, Shalamar, with crude oil, Iran Baabaei, Global Prince, Nafeli-1, with containers, Arhimidis S.B., with 42,309 tons of coal and Badulu Valley, with 3,058 tons of soyabean meal.
