ISLAMABAD, June 10: Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Amanullah Khan Jadoon has said that there exists a lot of opportunities for Pakistan-Brazil cooperation in the petroleum sector and invited Brazilian companies to collaborate in manufacturing of CNG equipment and off-shore exploration.

He made this offer to Brazilian Ambassador to Pakistan Fausto Godoy who paid a courtesy call on him here on Friday and discussed Pakistan-Brazil cooperation in the petroleum sector.

The minister said that the forthcoming visit of Brazilian Petrobraz’s delegation to Pakistan would provide an opportunity to explore areas of cooperation for the mutual advantage.

He said that Brazil had rich experience in CNG technology being the 2nd in the world. Mr Jadoon said that Petrobraz had great potential in off-shore exploration and Pakistan could take benefit of it.

The Brazilian ambassador said both the countries had immense opportunities to cooperate in the oil and gas sector and could learn a lot from each other’s experience for the mutual benefit.

He expressed the hope that the Brazil-Pakistan cooperation in oil and gas would further grow and strengthen in the days ahead.—APP
