LAHORE, June 6: The training of women judokas at school and college level has started, Pakistan Judo Federation, secretary Mahmood Naveed, said on Sunday.
The secretary said that the federation had chalked out a comprehensive programme for the promotion of the game in women and had held first trials at Government Fatima Girls High School, in Lahore on June 1.
The federation, he said would hold the similar trials at Madrassatul Binat Girls High School, Lahore on June 11, followed by a training camp at the same venue.
He said that 25 women were already being trained at the Railways Stadium.
“A Pakistan team will be selected from the camp (Railways Stadium) which will take part in the Islamic Countries women games”, he said.
