GUJRANWALA, June 6: The medical report of a minor girl, who was kidnapped by a couple and later recovered by police, confirmed that she was raped several times. The DHQ hospital doctor, Shazia, who conducted the girl’s examination issued the report here on Monday.

Two minor girls-Iram Shehzadi and Anam— of Dhulley locality were kidnapped by a couple some two months back. On a tip-off, Civil Lines police conducted a raid and arrested the accused couple— Nawaz and Sharifan— from Aliabad.

On the base of the information provided by the couple, the police raided a place in Sumandari and recovered Anam, who in her statement in a court revealed that she was repeatedly raped by some men in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sargodha and Gujranwala during her abduction.

The court had ordered the medical examination of the girl, which confirmed that she was raped several times.

Dhulley police station SHO Inspector Sadaqat Ali has claimed that the other girl, Iram, would also be recovered soon as the police had got some clues about her whereabouts.

Meanwhile, district and sessions judge ordered the release of a woman, Nasreen Bibi, arrested by the police in connection with the girls’ abduction, as her involvement in the crime could not be proved.
