PESHAWAR June 6: The provincial chairman of the People’s Student Federation (PSF) has demanded of the NWFP governor to restore 29 rusticated students of the Gommal University and constitute an inquiry committee headed by a high court judge to point out real culprits behind an incident of violence in the university.

Addressing a news conference here at Peshawar Press club Chairman of PSF NWFP Kashif Sajjad and PSF president for the Gommal University Shahfahad Ansari termed University administration responsible for the violence in the University and said the university administration himself set the vehicles and finance department on fire in order to hide their corruption.

They asked NWFP governor to constitute an inquiry committee that will consist of High Court judge to find out the real cuprites and punish them according to law.

The students’ leader warned for a province vides protest if the students rusticated from the university were not restored and cases against them were not withdrawn. “ University administration had made mockery of Terrorist Act and registered the cases against the innocent students who did not concern with any terrorist activity” PSF leaders claimed.

Students had protested peacefully against the killing of innocent boy and blocked Indus highway for tow hours to record their protest on 16 May but later on some miscreants set fire to the vehicles to hush up the matter of corruption that being don in the purchase of these vehicles, PSF president for Gommal University told media men.—PPI
