KARACHI: Arbab orders upgrading of two schools


KARACHI, June 6: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has called for collective efforts to make the PML more active and stable in the province. Addressing a public meeting in SITE Town, he said that the present government was determined to improve people’s standard of living and resolve their problems on a priority basis.

He ordered that Khyber Public Secondary School and Chaudhry School in Metroville, Orangi Town, be upgraded and construction and repair of roads in the area be started immediately.

The chief minister asked the DCO Karachi to prepare a feasibility report for the construction of a hospital on the plot reserved for the purpose in Metroville. He ordered that till the construction of the hospital, the existing dispensary be provided with all facilities, including maternity home.

He pointed out that due to the government’s efforts, law and order had improved and investors, both local and foreign, were taking keen interest in making investment here.

He said that a network of industries would be established in the province very soon which would not only bring about economic improvement, but also generate employment opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional General Secretary of the PML Sardar Yusuf and Political Secretary to the CM Abdul Ghaffar Qureishi lauded the chief minister’s efforts towards making PML more popular in the province.—APP
