KARACHI, June 6: Abdul Rehman Farooqui, controller of examination, Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, died here on Monday. He was 70. Before joining the SSUET, Mr Farooqi served the NED University of Engineering as a professor in the mathematics department and also as controller of examination.
He leaves behind his widow, three sons and one daughter.
His funeral prayer was held at the Abu Bakr mosque after Zuhar prayers, attended by faculty members, staff and students of the two universities. — APP
