ISLAMABAD, June 5: Islamabad gave Chakwal a cricketing lesson on Sunday as they completed a 300-run victory in the PCB National Under-19 Championship at the Diamond Cricket Ground. After having posted a mammoth 422 for nine on the first day of the match, Islamabad bowled out Chakwal for a meagre 122 in 33.2 overs, slow left-arm bowler Imad Wasim claiming an impressive seven for 29.
Rawalpindi too scored a big victory crushing Azad Jammu and Kashmir by 261 runs at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The AJK side were sent packing for only 173 as they attempted to overhaul Rawalpindi’s huge total of 434-8. Haseeb Amjad with five for 45 was the chief wicket-taker.
