By Our Sports Reporter

ISLAMABAD, June 5: Former Test pace bowler Sarfraz Nawaz on Sunday inaugurated the Margalla Cricket Academy at the Marghazar ground. Sarfraz gave tips to young boys on fast bowling and told them to work hard if they wanted to become top players.

Ayaz Akbar, one of the coaches at the academy, said that as many as 60 boys from different schools of Islamabad will be imparted training under the summer coaching programme.

The boys will be taught cricketing skills besides focussing on their physical fitness.

“Mental and character development will also form part of the training,” said Ayaz.

The academy is the first of its kind in Islamabad and aims to groom young players.
