Boy dies as heatwave grips Sindh

DADU, June 5: Parts of Sindh experienced the hottest day of the season on Sunday as temperature crossed 50 degrees centigrade. Due to the scorching heat, a minor, Jawed Ahmed, 4, fell unconscious in the city. He was taken to the civil hospital, Dadu, where he died. An elderly person fell unconscious in the Awami Park in Sehwan and died on the spot.

Ten persons fell unconscious in the city and were admitted to the civil hospital, while five others were admitted in Johi, two in Khairpur Nathan Shah and three in Mehar taluka hospitals

NAWABSHAH: Two people suffered heatstroke and many others fell unconscious as the heatwave persisted in the disrict.

Niaz Hussain and a woman, wife of Abdul Haq, were admitted to the hospital after suffering sunstroke.

It was the second day that the temperature crossed 50°C. A Met department official said the spell would continue for a few more days.
