NAWABSHAH, June 5: Sardarzada Sher Mohammad Khan Rind has accused a federal minister of planning to assassinate him with a view to grabbing his property. Addressidng a hurriedly-called press conference at his village near Nawabshah on Sunday, he said that he basically belonged to Balochistan and owned property in Dadu and Nawabshah.

He said that he was informed on Sunday morning that a heavy contingent of police including Levies force from Balochistan and the police of Naushahro Feroze and Nawabshah was gearing up to raid his village on the basis of an FIR lodged against him in Balochistan.

He said that he contacted high-ups and police withdrew from Nawabshah.

He alleged that property of Sardar Taj Mohammad Rind was forcibly taken over after his murder.

He alleged that he was also being presessurised not to participate in the forthcoming local bodies elections in Balochistan.

He warned that he would defend himself in case a raid was conducted on his village.

He said the minister would be responsible for any loss caused to him or his men and appealed to President Gen Musharraf to take action against the minister and order an enquiry into the matter.
