Poly Nest in form to win feature event
LAHORE, June 4: Three-year-old bay filly, Poly Nest, with the kind of form she is at present, should win the feature event to be run over 1200m during the Lahore Winter Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday. This daughter of Polinesso out-of-Cinciatti, Poly Nest is contesting in the sixth event, a class IV division I handicap race.
She has already won two races in-a-row and will be going all out to make it three in a row and accomplish a hat trick of victories, for her owner, Khawaja M. Arif and trainer Mubarik Ali.
Among her five rivals, two fillies, Who Dares and Mumtaz Mahal are prominent, who could pose her challenge. They are all in good form but the level of fitness in which Poly Nest is, predictably she should prevail over them.
Three fillies, Decent Proposal, My Own Job and Night Beauty are the pick of the ten strong field for the fifth event, a class IV division II handicap race to be contested over 1200 metres.
Decent Proposal (Shogun-Venturist Gold), will be trying to make it two in a row while the other two should prove her challengers. The three-year-old filly, High Dream, who was beaten by Squash Ball in her outing Sunday last, should make amends this time and win the race. She has only to beat Lucky Mayla and Safe And Sound to pick up the spoils.
The race is to be gone over 1200m. A card of seven events has been drawn for Sunday’s races.
The first and seventh event will be contested over 900m, the second and third over 1000m while fourth, fifth and sixth over 1200m. The first race will be held at 1.30pm.
