Students faint due to high temperature

SWABI, June 4: About a dozen students of different schools fainted on Saturday which was the hottest day of the summer with maximum 41 degrees centigrade. Some of the students fainted in the morning assembly and others during classes as majority of schools and institutions in the district are overcrowded 70 to 90 students sit in a classroom of average size. These rooms are mostly without electricity system or fans.

Teachers said that the government had announced to close schools from June but the date is still far ahead The primary schools of the area, however, have already been closed from May 31.
