KARACHI: BSO has no affiliation with BLA

KARACHI, June 4: The Baloch Students Organization (Muttahida) has announced that it has no affiliation with the Balochistan Liberation Army but it firmly believes in restoration of rights to Balochs. BSO chairman Dr Imdad Baloch said this while speaking at a press conference at Karachi Press Club.

He condemned the state repression in Dera Bugti and urged the government to change its policy vis-a-vis, saying that we could not enslave people by force.

The BSO chairman was flanked by his three colleagues who remained in jail for more than two months. The BSO leaders narrated the story of ordeal when they were in custody of government agencies, saying they were kept in separate cells and grilled for hours.

According to them, most of the questions pertained to Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and BSO’s affiliation with the BLA.

The chief of BSO (Muttahida) Imdad Baloch said the struggle for the “recovery of three more BSO leaders would continue and in this regard he announced a weeklong protest rallies which would be held in different towns of Balochistan. At least seven BSO men were arrested in Karachi on March 23 and 24.

Dr Imdad condemned the “state repression in Balochistan”, saying the struggle for rights of Baloch people would continue and thanked the democratic forces including rightists and women bodies for supporting the cause of Baloch people.
