KARACHI, June 4: Two bullet-riddled bodies were found in gunny bags on Saturday morning on a road in North Karachi. Police reached the spot in Sector 5-M, North Karachi, on an information that two gunny bags were lying on a road. The police opened it and found two bodies of youths. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Hospital where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival and said both the youths were shot in the head.
Police established their identity as Faisal Ali, 32, and Afaq Farooq, 28, residents of Shah Faisal Colony. Both the neighbours worked for a courier company. They left their houses on Friday evening for North Karachi and went missing.
Police said the youths might have been kidnapped, shot and their bodies were dumped by the unknown killers.
Faisal and Afaq were stated to be the dismissed workers of the Muttahida Quami Movement, the police added.
KILLED: A man in his early 40s was shot dead in his shop in Shah Faisal Colony by unidentified motorcyclists.
Police said two men on a motorbike opened fire on Aftab, 40, when he was sitting in his cloth shop. His body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy.
ACCIDENTS: A woman died in a road accident on Saturday.
Police said a minibus of route (D-7) hit a motorcycle near Gul Ahmed Chowrangi in Landhi. Mehnaz, 30, her husband Abdul Waheed and their child fell to the ground. Mehnaz received serious head injuries and died before she could be provided any medical aid. The killer minibus driver escaped with the vehicle.
