POF Wah triumph
LAHORE, June 2: Pakistan Ordinance Factory (POF) Wah beat Mehran Club, Islamabad 3-0 in the first National Football Challenge Cup at the former’s ground, a PFF spokesman announced on Thursday.
Ilyas scored the first goal in the 16th minute. Manzoor Shah doubled the lead 2-0 in the 40th minute. Farooq Shah completed the rout in the 84th minute.
Meanwhile, pool “A” matches will be played at Peshawar under Higher Education commission.
The inaugural match of pool “A’ will be played between Islamabad-based HEC and Young XI Club Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday.
