Jamshed claims four wickets
LAHORE, June 2: Four wickets by Jamshed Ahmed helped North Zone Whites beat Blues team by a big margin of 213-runs in the PCB Inter-district cricket championship at the Railways Stadium on Thursday. Jamshed conceded 51 runs as the North Zone Blues were bundled out for 165 in 51.5 overs while chasing a big total of 378.
Sharjeel Arshad and Asif Raza took two wickets each for 39 and 23 runs, respectively to ably support Jamshed in getting the rivals out.
Waheed Ahmed (30) and Mujahid Ali (23) were the only two key scorers.
Fine bowling by leg-spinner Ghulam Mujtaba helped West Zone Blues beat its Whites team by 124 runs at the Model Town Ground.
Mujtaba took five wickets for 69 as the Whites were all out for 200 while requiring a target of 325 for win. Only Omer Akmal (46), Mohammad Zohaib (40) and Zeeshan Siddiqi (27) made respectable contributions.
