BRUSSELS: The leaders of France and Germany planned crisis talks to seek a way out of the impasse in the wake of the double blow to European integration. Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Schroeder are to meet in Berlin on Saturday in the first such top-level meeting since the French referendum last Sunday plunged the European Union into unprecedented turmoil.—AFP
