POL prices unchanged

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 31: The Oil Companies Advisory Committee (OCAC) has kept the price of all POL products unchanged. In a statement, the committee said that during the current fortnight (May 16-31), the prices of petroleum products showed a declining trend in global markets. However, oil prices are still higher than the fortnight of March 1-15, 2005 when the government decided to freeze POL prices at the current levels. The OMCs will continue to subsidise the price of diesel by Rs2.04 per litre, kerosene by Rs3.02 per litre and light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs2.11 per litre.
