KARACHI: Principal’s widow assured of help

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 31: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad on Tuesday assured the widow of slain Dr Saleem Chaudhry, principal of Dawood College of Engineering and Technology that all efforts would be made to arrest the killers of the educationist at the earliest.

He was talking to Simeen Saleem, who had been called to the governor’s house in response to an email that she had sent to the governor regarding the murder of her husband a few weeks back and lack of police interest in carrying out the investigations though even the president had ordered to complete the probe quickly and keep him informed of the progress in the matter.

She said that the governor instantly gave orders to the authorities to expedite the investigation and give him the report at the earliest.

The principal’s widow also urged the governor to provide her daughter Javeria Chaudhry, who has recently completed her Masters in Environmental Engineering.

She said that Dr Ibad assured her that the request of her daughter, Javeria Chaudhry, would be considered sympathetically and according to the law and policy.
