Shoaib leaves for England

ISLAMABAD, May 30: Discarded fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who was not picked for Indian and West Indies tours on fitness grounds left for England on Monday. World’s fastest bowler who crossed the 100 miles twice in his career told a private TV channel that he was leaving for London to get training for playing a match for tsunami affectees.

He said that he would return on June 11 to participate in the World Youth Programme and go back again to England on June 13 to play for Worcestershire in the English County Championship.

Shoaib claimed he was completely fit to play for the county in July.—PPI
