KARACHI, May 30: Four ships including two tankers carrying 20,000 tons of palm oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships, Sinar Riau, Orient Prosperity, Corin Thaikos, Ilse Wuff, Kota Teguh to unload and load containers and Leader Arol, to offload chemicals were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included PAC Antlia, Maersk Alaska, Ocean Hope and Nur Yanbu, while Ilse Wuff, Orient Prosperity, Leader Arol, Kota Teguh and Makran are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves modest owing to lesser handling of liquid tonnage, falling below the average figure of 50,000 tons to 45,012 tons comprising 14,045 of export cargo and 30,0967 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Celtic Carrier, Bunga Melati, with 12,800 and 8,000 tons of palm oil respectively, ECE Castle, with general cargo and APL Dailan, with containers.
