ISLAMABAD, May 30: Commerce Secretary Tasneem Noorani called on Sierra Leone’s Foreign Minister Mondodu Koroma and Trade and Industry Minister Ms Kadi Sasey and discussed with them promotion of trade and economic relations with Pakistan.

Both sides identified rice, textiles, pharmaceutical and agricultural implements as sectors in which Sierra Leone can increase its imports from Pakistan. Besides, palm oil plantations, pharmaceutical and textiles were recognized as the areas for consideration of possible economic cooperation in future.

It was agreed that Sierra Leone would provide further information for the consideration of Pakistani manufacturers to form a joint venture in Sierra Leone.—APP
