This was stated by the Vice-Chancellor, Dow University of Health Sciences, Prof Masood Hameed, at the concluding session of the scientific seminar of the LGH held at a local hotel on Saturday night.

Lauding the services of the LGH administration, the VC said it played a vital role in promoting academic activities by holding seminars and workshops besides improving general conditions of the hospital.

Prof Hameed emphasized the need for creating general awareness about health problems, which he said could be prevented at an early stage provided people were well informed.

According to him, a digital library was being established to provide trainees an easy accessibility to medical journals of world repute. All nine teaching units of the LGH would be directly linked to the DUHS through a computerised network, he said.
