PM sees better ties with Malaysia


ISLAMABAD, May 28: Prime Minister Shaukat has said that brotherly relations between Pakistan and Malaysia are bound to strengthen further. He was talking to Chairman OIC Commission of Eminent Persons and Foreign Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar who called on him at the Prime Minister’s House on Saturday.

Aziz expressed confidence that the recent high-level contacts between the two countries would culminate in further consolidation and expansion of their diplomatic, political and economic relations. He said Pakistan and Malaysia were bound together by centuries-old ties of history, culture and religion.

These relations, he said, would go from strength to strength in the days to come.

Referring to his recent visit to Malaysia, the PM said that Pakistan desiref early recourse to a free trade agreement as it would help in expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries.

He thanked Hamid Albar and the government of Malaysia for the warm hospitality extend to him during the visit.—APP
