KARACHI, May 28: Four people were killed at different areas on Saturday in separate incidents, the police said. A teacher was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Baghdadi while a passer-by was wounded.

Police said Salman Mohammad Hingoro, 35, used to teach at a seminary in Baghdadi. During a break, he came out of the seminary to have some cold drinks at a roadside cabin. Two motorcyclists came there and opened fire at Salman, who died on the spot. A passer-by Asif Hashim, 24, also suffered bullet wounds and was shifted to a hospital.

BODY FOUND: The body of a man, with a bullet mark on his head, was discovered in the bushes near Abdullah Cottages in Surjani Town. The police identified him as Nadeem Jahangir, 30.

Police said Nadeem moved to a house in Sector 5-J, New Karachi some nine months back with his wife and a six-year-old daughter. Nadeem was jobless for the past many months and his wife worked to make both ends meet. Nadeem came to know about her work a day earlier when he caught his wife with a man at Sea View beach. The police said Nadeem’s wife Naila was interrogated and she told the police that they were at the verge of hunger when she was forced to go out to earn for livelihood.

She said that she spent time with a man, Mohammad Ali, who knocked at the door on Friday night and whisked away her husband.

The police have arrested Naila and are looking for Mohammad Ali for allegedly killing Nadeem.

Another body of a man, in his mid twenties, was found in a gunny bag along the Malir riverbed in Sharafi Goth police limits.

Police said the man was hit by a bullet in his face. He wore jeans and shirt. The body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy where his identity could not be established. The body was later kept at Edhi morgue for identification.

In another incident, some unidentified men in a car threw the body of man in his late 20s in Zaman Town and sped away.

Police said the corpse was wrapped in a blanket which was later shifted to the JPMC for autopsy. The identity of the victim could not be established immediately.

ACCIDENT: Two youths died and another suffered injuries on Saturday when a motorcycle they were riding on skidded on ICI bridge.

Police said three youths were riding a motorcycle when it skidded and hit the footpath along the road.

All the riders fell on the ground and two of them suffered serious head injuries. All the injured were shifted to a hospital where Rafiq Omar, 14, and Deen Mohammad alias Gulloo, 15, were pronounced dead on arrival.

Their friend Gulfam was admitted to the hospital. The police believed the youths must have been driving recklessly which caused the fatal accident.
