SUKKUR: Two traders kidnapped

SUKKUR, May 27: Two traders of Qadirpur town in Ghotki district were kidnapped by armed men near Khadoo Dhandh village on Friday. The traders, Sarwanand and Karori Mal, were on way to the katcha area of Qadirpur to collect money from some people when the armed men intercepted their motorcycle and kidnapped both of them.

After the incident, hundreds of traders assembled in the area and raised slogans against the police.

They demanded that the kidnap victims should be released.

HELD: Some 20 suspects were arrested by police in Mureed Kharoos village in the Madeji police area on Thursday night, following the kidnapping attempt of four people on Thursday evening.

Four people Ellahi Bux Mangi, Asghar Soomro, Altaf Rajput and Razzaq Mangi in a car were on way to Madeji when reached near Jaro Hajam village, a group of armed men kidnapped them along with the car.

But after covering some distance, the car broke down and the bandits fled leaving behind the hostages.

Shikarpur DPO Fareed Jan Sarhandi along with heavy contingent of police cordoned the village and arrested some 20 suspects and also took away three tractors and cattle heads.
