‘No relief for Kashmiris’

Published May 27, 2005

MUZAFFARABAD, May 26: The Jamiat Ahl-i-Hadith said on Wednesday that the peace process had failed to provide any relief to the Kashmiris and that the visit of All Parties’ Hirriyat Conference leaders would not help resolve the Kashmir issue.

The party’s executive committee made it clear through a resolution adopted at its meeting here that no solution of the Kashmir issue imposed by the imperialist powers and ignoring the wishes of the Kashmiris would be accepted. Prof Shahabuddin Madni was elected amir of the Jamiat Ahl-i-Hadith, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, unopposed, for five years.
