LAHORE, May 26: PTCL workers observed a complete strike on Thursday and barred officers and customers from entering corporation’s main offices on Egerton Road. They held demonstrations against the government plan of privatizing the organization. Union office-bearers said no one would be allowed to enter the offices till June 6. They said the government would have to ensure job security in case the corporation was privatized. The union had been observing a token strike daily for the last over a week. After a failure in talks with the management the other day in Islamabad, it vowed a complete shutdown. —Staff Reporter
