The tanker owners were observing strike against restriction on their vehicles’ entry into the jurisdiction of the Rawalpindi cantonment.

In a meeting between the cantonment officials and the association office-bearers, it was agreed that no heavy vehicle or oil tanker of more than 10 wheels would be allowed to pass through the cantonment between 6am and 10pm.
